The educator workshops will examine how more than 120,000 people of Japanese descent were forced from their homes on the West Coast and sent to 10 camps established by the War Relocation Authority (WRA) following Japan’s December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. The workshops will be held at the site of one of those camps, Heart Mountain. Located in northwest Wyoming between the towns of Cody and Powell, Heart Mountain exemplifies this episode in American history.
